TSRTC will procure 1,391 new buses by spending Rs 350 crore during the financial year 2016-17,” Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy has said.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Minister said that the aim of the Chief Minister was to provide last mile connectivity to the villages. “The Chief Minister has stressed on road and bus connectivity in the State and the corporation will procure buses to connect 1,100 villages through its buses,” said Mahender Reddy. The RTC would purchase 95 A/C Rajdhani, 386 super luxury, 600 express, 74 Palle Velugu and 236 mini buses. 
He said that the corporation would run 1,365 buses for Krishna Pushkaralu



starting from August 12. “The government will ensure that no inconvenience would be caused to the pilgrims travelling to Pushkaralu. Special buses would be arranged for pilgrims on the lines of Godavari Pushkaralu and Samakka Jatara,” he said.
The government has made arrangements for 55 pushkar ghats, including 27 in Mahbubnagar district and 28 in Nalgonda district. The corporation would run 1,391 buses for the benefit of devotees, including 248 buses for Beechupally, 160 buses for Nagarjunasagar, 150 buses for Srisailam, 50 for Vijayawada, 60 for Somasila, 60 for Matampally, 32 for Vadapalli and 165 buses for places like Nettempadu, Gandimala, Makhtal, Kaipur and Pebber.
