AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi warns of traffic chaos in Hyderabad’s Old City

Hyderabad: Construction of the Metro Rail project in the Old City has the potential to create traffic chaos on the arterial road passing through that part of the city, AIMIM floor leader in the Legislative Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi warned. This would particularly be the case as the Charminar Pedestrianisation Project has resulted in restricted traffic movement on the critical road



corridor and the Charminar junction, he said.

Owaisi said when Metro Rail project construction begins between the Jubilee Bus Station, road traffic is likely to be impacted severely along the project alignment.

He asked the government to ensure that road traffic is not affected through the vital road corridor once the project construction begins.
