The Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), NPR and the NRC.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi thanked the Chief Minister for bringing the resolution. He urged the state government to stay the work on updation of NPR and also speaks better utilizing of Wakf properties



to help the poor.

Responding to AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, who sought a stay on the NPR exercise in the state, Rao said in the Assembly that the state government itself introduced a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act, NPR and National Register of Citizens.

CM KCR says Telangana would do better than Kerala or others on NPR.
