Hyderabad:Considering President Ram Nath Kovind’s remark “For decades, the dignity of Muslim women has remained active to political cost-benefit”  an insult for Indian Muslims, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi demanded retraction of the same.

Addressing a public meeting at Erragadda, Owaisi said that it had been a tradition in our country that President would read what was written by government to

commence Budget session of Parliament. By providing such kind of speech to the President, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had tried to intervene into the affairs of Indian Muslim which was not good for him and his party, Asad said.

The MIM leader said India had 55 Darul Ifftah from where Muslim seek religious guidance or fatwas and in last year more than 6 lakh fatwas were issued from this Darul Ifftahs in which fatwas pertaining to Triple Talaq were only 400.
