HYDERABAD: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that Karnataka needs a ‘shaandar’ (extraordinary) man like JD (S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy. Mr Owaisi’s reaction was in response to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who said that Karnataka needs ‘kaamdaar’ (people who work) referring to the BJP and not ‘naamdar’(dynastic) people, indirectly referring to the Congress.

Mr Owaisi tweeted that “Naamdaar ka sir Naam rah Gayah. Kaamdhar to Chowkidhaar bhi hain

magar Nirav Modi Bhaag Gaya”. ‘Naamdaar” (Congress) has left only with the name. “Kaam-dhar” (Workaholic) is also a watchman but Nirav Modi managed to escape (sic)”.  “If Karnataka wants to save itself from ‘kaamdhar’ and ‘naamdaar’, it should bring one ‘shaandar’. And the man is H. D. Kumaraswamy,” Mr Owaisi said. The All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen had earlier extended support to Janata Dal (Secular) in the Assembly elections scheduled this month.
