MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday called upon Muslims to speak up and not remain silent in the backdrop of the recent lynchings. “Jo chup rahegi zabaan e khanjar lahoo pukaraega aasteen ka,” Asad said, quoting a popular Urdu couplet. One close translation of the couplet means, “If the dagger’s tongue remains silent, the blood on the sleeves will speak out.”

Hyderabad MP said that he was not the one to be scared of anything. He reacted sharply to what BJP MP Om Pandey from UP had said. Pandey had said that instances of rape and murder were increasing due to Muslim population.
He tweeted: “Wah @ PMOIndia you have Anmol Ratan in your party who wants a memorial like Rwanda to be made of Indian Muslims.”
