Bijapur: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that he had come to Bijapur to campaign for the party candidates for the coming City Corporation elections. He said that for political gains, the Congress and the BJP have a tacit understanding. 'BJP acts like it is against Muslims and Congress pretends it supports the Muslims. But in reality they are playing games with the Muslims and making use of Muslims for their political  advantage, he said.

AIMIM chief was addressing a large gathering in Bijapur, where he request the people to vote for AIMIM candidates. Describing the BJP and the Congress as the two faces of the same coin who have internal understanding to win the election, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi called upon the Muslim in particular not to support political organisations.

Taking on City MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal of the BJP, Owaisi referred to one of the statements of Yatnal where he reportedly said

that by paying Rs.2500 crore, one could become Chief Minister in the BJP Government. Owaisi wondered where Yatnal got such a huge amount to pay to the party for becoming CM.

Does he (Yatnal) carry a  magic lamp or does he have a big treasure that he uses to pay the money for becoming CM? I am asking this question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who calls himself a fakeer, How will he explain the statement of Yatnal, he said.

The crowd kept cheering at every reference of Yatnal and Modi during the speech of Owaisi. At one point, Owaisi received chits from the audience requesting him to say something about Yatnal who is known for making controversial statements against Muslims.

Appealing to the voters to elect four of the party's candidates in the coming elections, he announced he will come back to the City with his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi after the elections.
