All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday declared that Congress party will pay a price for spreading lies that he and MIM collect money from the BJP to contest elections to cut votes.

Addressing a meeting in Sangareddy last night, Owaisi said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going around saying that they are contesting in Assam and Tripura at the behest of the BJP after taking money from them.

"Rahul Gandhi, you do not know us. You hate me because my name is Asaduddin Owaisi and I wear a cap and sport a beard and because of this you say I take money. This same man will now show you how you will pay a price in Telangana," Owaisi said.

Owaisi said Rahul should know how his grandmother came to Darussalam (AIMIM headquarters) and sought help to ensure the win of P. Shiv Shankar of Congress from

Secunderabad.

"If I start revealing things, you will have no place to stand. Shall I reveal who came on behalf of Congress to my house in Delhi before the Karnataka elections asking for my help? And you (Rahul) should know that your win from Wayanad is because of 30% Asaduddin Owaisi people there," he said.

Challenging Rahul Gandhi to contest the next elections from Hyderabad against him, and get all the help from RSS and BJP, he said the Congress leader should first figure out how he will win from Amethi, a traditional Congress seat, which he lost in the last elections.

On Telangana, he said every Muslim should vote for the BRS party where MIM is not contesting from. "Remember, the BRS is the third player in the state and MIM the fourth player. If only two players, Congress and BJP are allowed to exist, then they will play football with us," he said.
