AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed the steps taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
“We support the lockdown in Telangana announced by the Chief Minister. It is the need of the hour and my sincere request to the public is to cooperate with the authorities,” he said in his online address on the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj.
He asked the people not to unnecessary come out of their houses. “Please
do not come out of your houses. The government is making all efforts to provide essential items to the public through different modes. There is no need to panic,” Owaisi said.
The AIMIM chief asked the Islamic scholars to sit together and hold a meeting to come up with a decision on making the prayers at home. “After the meeting they should make their decision public so that the community follows it,” he said.
