Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Party President and Hyderabad Lok Sabha Member, Asaduddin Owaisi said the caste-based census will prove beneficial for the people, especially those belonging to the backward castes.

including the Other Backward Classes (OBC).

He asked the central government to bring in Laws for the same and favoured total reservations beyond 50 per cent.

On Afghanistan, Mr Owaisi demanded the government to make it clear its stand on Afghanistan.

He also asked the government to invite the AIMIM for the all party meeting to brief over the latest developments in Afghanistan.
