Muslims have been cheated in the name of secularism: Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday claimed that Muslims had been fooled in the name of secularism and called on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to discuss the matter publicly. Prior to the 2022 Uttar Pradesh parliamentary vote, Owaisi urged Muslims not to live in the shadows, addressing a rally in the village of Rasulabad in the Muslim-controlled elected district of Rudauri.

Owaishi, who sharpened the attack on the SP chief, claimed that Akhilesh Yadav has always created fear among Muslims.

Earlier that day, former parliamentarian Atiq Ahmad and his wife joined AIMIM in front of Owaisi in Lucknow.

Owaisi introduced former Samajwadi Party leader Ahmad and his wife, claiming that SP and the Bahujan Samaj Party used Islam as slaves to their party.

He claimed that Muslims were betrayed in the name of secularism.

“Why are Ayodhya Muslims embarrassed or even afraid to talk about the dismantling of Babri? All parties are exploiting Muslims and Dalits. Our party holds Majiris in every home. “He said at a rally here.

The venue for the rally was about 20 km from Danipur, where the mosque appeared according to the Supreme Court’s decision in the Ram Jammabumi case.

However, Owaisi did not take the name of the mosque in his speech.

He argued that other political parties did not want Islamic leaders to develop in the country.

Regarding the controversy over calling Ayodhya the old name “Faizabad”, “Some people say that they don’t want to take the name of Ayodhya. I want to say that Ayodhya belongs to India. Faizabad also belongs to India and Owaisi. . ”

Owaisi said AIMIM will compete for 100 seats in future polls.

He referred to next year’s poll in the state and said there was a big difference between the 2017 Majlis and the 2022 Majlis. 

“Now our organization is strong. Our first effort is that our Muslim leadership should be developed in the largest state of the country, Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
