Hyderabad: A delegation of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by party chief Asaduddin Owaisi, met Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Wednesday and lodged a complaint against Waseem Rizvi, former chief of the Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board, seeking action against him over his book which allegedly depicted Prophet Mohammed in bad light.
The complaint said
Rizvi wrote a book that was ‘full of lies and bad words for the Prophet’, and urged that a case be filed against him.
“This man only wants to provoke Muslims, and is being used as a tool by the anti-Muslim forces. We appeal to peace-loving people and Muslims across the country to file a criminal case against him,” Owaisi said.
