Owaisi hopes that KTR would raise the issue of funding for the JBS-Falaknuma Metro Rail line with Hardeep Singh Puri

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisi thanked municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao for raising issues concerning the Hyderabad parliamentary constituency during his meeting with Union defence minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on Friday.

Owaisi hoped that Rama Rao would raise the issue of funding for the JBS-Falaknuma Metro Rail line when he meets Union urban affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday.

Owaisi on Friday said in a Tweet,



"Thousands of people commute every day on the route (JBS-Falaknuma) and it has not been taken up by successive governments. The first priority should be completion of already sanctioned routes. It's strange that the recently announced Kandukur-airport line is getting more attention than the Old City route."

Owaisi said that removing bottlenecks for construction of flyovers, skyways, roads besides widening of existing roads requires urgent transfer of defence lands.
