Owaisi slams Modi, BJP manifesto

Asaduddin Owaisi hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for talking on security issues so that people forget his policy ‘failures’. “Today he says we went to Balakot and dropped bombs, and even I agree to it. But he is only focusing on security issues so that people forget lack of jobs, achche din, GST, and farmer suicides,” Owaisi said.

Taking a swipe at Modi’s ‘ Ghar mein ghus ke marenge’ line, Owaisi said that number of deaths of security personnel during Modi’s tenure was the highest. “To enter into home and hit,



we need weapons. We only have ammunition to fight a war for 10 days,” said Owaisi, quoting a report. He said that after 1962, this is the lowest capital expenditure on defence.

He slammed BJP’s approach towards Sabarimala. “When it comes to triple talaq, they say we will ensure justice (through legal procedure ) but when it comes to Sabarimala they say they will secure constitutional protection on issues related to faith. You are protecting your faith, what about mine?”
