AIMIM chief Assadudin Owaisi on Wednesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he announced India’s anti-satellite, accusing him of taking political mileage for the work done by scientists.
Addressing a gathering here, Owaisi said, “Somebody coined a joke that in the coming days the Prime Minister will tweet ‘watch me tomorrow at 7, I am going to tell you something’. I have watched this cartoon where the Prime Minister goes to space and says ‘Alien mitron’. Who knows? this could also happen, he can do anything.”
His remarks come after the Prime
Minister on Wednesday announced that India’s anti-satellite weapon successfully destroyed a live satellite on a low earth orbit, joining a group of three countries – the US, Russia and China – with such capability.
Owaisi also posted on his twitter handle, “DRDO’s success today is testimony to what this nation’s scientists achieve against immense odds. My congratulations to them! Now, @PMOIndia after all build up, you were just trying to appropriate DRDO’s success? We were expecting something more: like tangible action against Pak.”
