Four candidates of the MIM filed their nomination papers on Thursday. The party which contested successfully from seven constituencies in 2014 has declared only eight candidates so far. In 2014 MIM had fielded 25 candidates and won from seven constituencies.

Senior legislator Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, who has been representing the Yakutpura constituency since 1994 filed his nomination



papers from Charminar. He, along with party leaders and supporters, reached the Sardar Mahal nomination centre and submitted his papers.

Mr Moazam Khan, a three-time MLA, submitted his nomination papers from Bahadurpura while Mr Ahmed Bin Abdullah Bilala filed his papers for his third election from Malakpet and Kausar Moinuddin from Karwan.
