All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimmen Karwan candidate Kausar Mohiuddin, who is eyeing a hat-trick of wins, is presently busy visiting different localities in the constituency.
Accompanied by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owiasi, and ward coporators, Kausar interacted with residents of Mahabub Colony, Alinagar, Ghirra, Sarvernagar, Natraj Nagar and other slums.
Owaisi met the area’s elderly, youth and children. The two MIM leaders took up issues related to the localities and assured the residents that only the AIMIM could resolve their issues, like it has been doing since long. They sought the help of the locals to ensure that Kausar wins and then takes up all the promised developmental works.
Karwan
constituency has both commercial and domestic localities and many slums. It has no government school, college or hospital.
Areas in Karwan constituency include Tolichowki, MD Lane, Langar House, Jiyaguda, Bheem Nagar, Tallagadda, Golconda, Dargah Nagar, MD Lines Shah Hatim Nagar, Nanal Nagar, Mehdipatnam, Kakytanagar, Heera Khana, Katora House, Badabanda, Sabzi Mandi, Mustaidpura, Resham Bagh,Hakeempet and Ghirra.
In 2014 Kausar Mohiuddin defeated BJP’s Badam Bal Reddy. Kausar secured 86,391 votes while Balreddy secured 48,614 votes. In 2018, Kausar defeated BJP candidate Amar Singh by 50,169 votes after polling 87,586 votes.
In the ensuing election, Kausar is pitted against Amar Singh and Aindala Krishnaiah from the Congress.
