All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Friday that the opposition parties have not invited him for the January 29 meeting as they were an elitist lot, who would not require the support of poor people like them.

The Lok Sabha MP was taking to ANI about the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief, Sharad Pawar, announcing yesterday that a meeting of “like-minded parties” on January 29 would take place to make a plan to take on Bharatiya Janata Party.

“We are already untouchables for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Why will



these elite parties invite us? They do not need help from poor people like us,” AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi told ANI.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar announced that the parties with like mind will hold a meeting in Delhi on January 29 to discuss ways to counter BJP.
Pawar and other Opposition leaders including Alpesh Thakur, Hardik Patel, Sharad Yadav, D Raja, Hardik Patel, Omar Abdullah, Dinesh Trivedi and Sushilkumar Shinde met in Mumbai on Thursday to participate in march, ‘Save Constitution’, organized against the Prime Minister-led central government.
