Owaisi criticises the Centre's stand on Rohingya refugee issue

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday reiterated that the Supreme Court has upheld that like Indian citizens, aliens too are entitled to the right to life and equality, even as he criticised the Centre's stand on the Rohingya refugee



issue.

The parliamentarian speaking to media at the party headquarters in Darussalaam, described the Centre's stand as `disingenuous'. “Why is this issue being looked at through a religious prism,“ Owaisi sought to know.
