Aurangabad: The indefinite chain hunger strike by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Member of Parliament Imtiaz Jaleel to protest against renaming of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar entered its second day on Sunday.
It may be noted that the State and central governments have decided to change the name of Aurangabad district to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Against the decision, Jaleel started an indefinite chain hunger strike
in front of the district collector office from Saturday onwards.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena senior leader Chandrakant Khaire asked Jaleel to read history and accused him of playing politics on the name of renaming of the city.
Meanwhile, BJP City president Shirish Boralkar said that it has been proved once again that AIMIM is the heir of Mughals and Nizams.
