The AIMIM supreme and Lok Sabha Member Asaduddin Owaisi has made it clear yesterday that the TRS will retain power in Telangana, as the Chief Minister KCR had implemented many welfare programmes.
In an interview to a national media agency, Owaisi declared that there was no question of MIM sharing power with the TRS. He made it clear that he was not interested in power politics. Ensuring justice to the weaker sections of the society was his only aim.
In reply to a question on the performance of TRS government, he said that the Government has designed and implemented many welfare programmes which benefited the weaker sections and backward
classes, and hence the TRS can be expected to retain power, and KCR to become the Chief Minister again.
He listed the schemes implemented by the TRS Government for the welfare of Minorities, and added that they will have an impact on the electorate. .
Asked about the reported statement of Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA, that if H D Kumaraswamy of JD (S) can become Chief Minister in Karnataka, why not MIM can form the Government in Telangana, he said the media has wrongly quoted his brother. The media is doing cut and paste job and what was said by Akbaruddin two minutes earlier was not reported.
