The price of a cooking gas cylinder for home usage has been increased by 25 rupees. The price of a cooking gas cylinder has been hiked by Rs.25 and now it is sold at a cost of Rs.875 from the earlier price of Rs.850. The price of a cooking gas cylinder has gone up from Rs.825 last May to Rs.877 now. This has shocked every commoner as the gas prices are just spiking every month from the Government. 

 In India, not only petrol and diesel but also cooking gas cylinder prices are determined based on the fluctuations in crude prices in the international market.  oil companies adjust petrol and



diesel prices on a daily basis. But the price of a cooking gas cylinder is adjusted twice a month and sometimes even 3 times we can notice the prices getting tweaked. 

In that category, the price of cooking gas rose from 700 rupees in february to 25 rupees and 50 rupees to 825 rupees. The price of a cooking gas cylinder has increased by 25 rupees after the last one and a half months. In Chennai, the price of a cylinder has increased to 875 rupees as 50 rupees was increased suddenly. This price hike has caused great dissatisfaction among housewives and common women.
