Airtel partners with Celkon for Rs.1,349-phone

Bharti Airtel has entered into a partnership with Hyderabad-based device maker Celkon to offer a touchscreen 4G smartphone at an effective price of Rs 1,349.

The Android powered smartphone offers full access to apps on Google Play Store. It comes bundled with a monthly pack of Rs 169 from Airtel.

To avail the offer,  a customer needs to make a



down payment of Rs 2,849 for the 4G smartphone and make 36 continuous mostly recharges of Rs 169. The customer will get a cash refund of Rs 500 after 18 months and Rs 1,000 after 36 months, taking the total cash benefit of Rs 1,500.

Airtel which occupies 34 per cent market share in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has 25 million subscribers in this circle.
