Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met with Peru’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Úrsula Desilú León Chempén, in New Delhi yesterday. During the meeting, Mr Goyal discussed strengthening economic ties and accelerating Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations between the two countries. He emphasized the need for a balanced and equitable agreement that considers mutual trade priorities and



agreed to fast-track negotiations, reinforcing the commitment to deeper trade and investment engagement. 

Mr. Goyal also held a meeting with Chile’s Under-Secretary for International Economic Relations, Claudia Sanhueza. Both sides discussed areas of collaboration to further boost India-Chile trade and investment ties.
