India's coal sector continues to play a vital role in fueling the nation's energy needs while simultaneously driving significant employment growth. The Coal Ministry said, as of 6th March the country's coal production has reached 900 million tonnes. Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries have undertaken extensive recruitment drives, adding over 59 thousand personnel to their workforce in the last ten years. The Ministry said, similarly, that NLC India Limited has recruited over four thousand individuals during the same period, reflecting a commitment to bolstering employment opportunities.
