Union minister for Labour and Employment, Bandaru Dattatreya today said, Economic growth is meaningful only when there is Job, wage and social security to workers.Addressing the 48th Session of Standing Labour Committe in New Delhi, he said, his government's priority lies in ensuring benefits such as social security to reach workers in the unorganized sector. Mr. Dattatreya further added, proposal of social security to Anganawadi



workers through Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is being considered and shall be implemented soon.

Representatives of employers, state governments and trade unions have gathered for the 48th session of Standing Labour Committee(SLC). SLC to consider action taken report on recommendations of 46th Indian Labour Conference and finalize the Agenda for 47th conference.
