The exports of agricultural and processed food products rose by 14 percent in the first three months of the current financial year compared to the corresponding period of 2021-22. Commerce and Industry Ministry said, the overall export has increased to five thousand 987 million dollars from April to June this year from five thousand 256 million dollars over the same period of the last
fiscal.
The exports of fresh fruits and vegetables has registered 8.6 percent growth, while processed food products like cereals and miscellaneous processed items reported an impressive growth of 36.4 percent. The Ministry said, rice exports has witnessed a growth of 13 percent, while the export of meat, dairy and poultry products increased by 9.5 percent.
