Gold and silver prices rose over one percent yesterday in the futures market. The precious metal for the June contracts was higher by 1146 rupees or 1.60 percent, trading at 72,785 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for July contracts were up by 942 rupees or 1.11 percent, trading at 85,441 rupees per kilogram, when the
reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading 1.68 percent higher at 2,379 dollars and 70 cents per ounce on Comex. Silver was trading 1.67 percent up at 28 dollars and 84 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
