Gold prices rose yesterday in the futures market. The precious metal was up by 71 rupees, or 0.10 per cent, trading at 70,486 rupees per ten grams. Silver futures for July contracts were higher by 218 rupees, or 0.27 per cent, trading at 81,069 rupees per kilogram, when the reports last came
in.
In the global markets, gold was trading 0.17 per cent up at 2,306 dollars and 80 cents per ounce on Comex. Silver was trading 0.42 per cent higher at 26 dollars and 77 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
