New Delhi: Gold prices yesterday climbed around Rs 290 at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts amid gains in gold prices in the international markets.

Gold was trading at Rs 48,200 per 10 gram. Silver prices also surged around Rs 160 to



trade at Rs 69,525 per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in.
 
In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was up USD 1,814.30 per ounce. Silver prices were also up at USD 26.20 per ounce.
