Gold prices yesterday declined 135 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for June contracts. The precious metal was trading at 60,000 rupees per 10 grams. Silver was also down 490 rupees to trade at 72,150 rupees per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came



in.
 
In the global markets, gold was trading down at 1,997 dollars and 40 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also down to trade around 23 dollars 75 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
