Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government has procured more than 13 lakh 68 thousand quintals of Soyabean at Minimum Support Price so far. Addressing the media in New Delhi yesterday, the Minister said, the deadline for procurement of Soyabean has been extended to the 31st of this month in Maharashtra while for Rajasthan the date has been



extended till the 4th of February. He added the decision has been taken following the demands from the state governments.

The Minister also asserted that the government is working continuously for the welfare of the farmers. He also urged the states to ensure that the farmers avail quality pesticides at affordable rates.
