Gross Direct Tax collections for current fiscal register 12.73 percent growth to four lakh 19 thousand 338 crore rupees so far

Gross Direct Tax collections for Financial Year 2023-24 till now have registered a growth of 12.73 percent. The figure stands at four lakh 19 thousand 338 crore rupees as compared to three lakh 71 thousand 982 crores in the corresponding period of the preceding financial year. Net collections are at three lakh 79 thousand 760 crores, showing a growth of 11.18 percent.

Gross



collections include Corporation Tax at one lakh 87 thousand 311 crore, and Personal Income Tax at two lakh 31 thousand 391 crore. Advance Tax collections for the first quarter of 2023-24 stand at one lakh 16 thousand 776 crores, showing a growth of 13.70 percent. Refunds amounting to 39 thousand 578 crores have also been issued in 2023-24 till now.
