The Goods and Services Tax – GST revenue has increased by 10.3 per cent to over 1 lakh 82 thousand crore rupees last month, the third-highest collection overall. According to the data released by the Ministry of Finance, the net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection after adjusting refunds was around one lakh 60 thousand rupees in July, which is a growth of 14.4 per cent. The total refunds



decreased by 19.4 per cent to 16 thousand 283 crore.

The finance ministry said, the main driver for the GST collection growth has been domestic transactions in goods and services which grew by 8.9 per cent to 1 lakh 34 thousand rupees. The revenue from imports has increased by 14.2 per cent to 48 thousand 39 crore rupees.
