The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which oversees the marketing of 'Amul' and 'Sagar' brands, introduced Sagar Skimmed Milk nationwide.

Jayen Mehta, managing director of GCMMF, said Sagar Skimmed Milk will be affordable and appeal to health-conscious consumers seeking fat-free milk. "To meet the expectations of the changing consumer, we are launching Sagar Skimmed Milk at the most affordable price to cater the economic segment as well as fat free milk for health-conscious consumers" he said.

Sagar Skimmed Milk, with a minimum 9 per cent SNF and entirely fat-free, is available in 250 ml (`10), 500 ml (`20), 1 L (`40), 2 L (`78), and 6 L packs, tailored for hotels, restaurants, and caterers (HoReCa) requirements. Consumers can buy it from retail outlets, Amul parlours, milk booths, and Modern Format Stores.

Highlighting the historical significance of Amul as a testament

to the success of the farmer's cooperative movement since its inception in 1946, Mehta emphasised its transformation into a household name, with Indians experiencing various Amul products.

Sagar, an established brand under GCMMF, is known for its milk powders and ghee. Sagar Skimmed Milk Powder, recognised as India's largest-selling SMP brand, is acknowledged to be pure, fresh, and of high quality. The expansion into the fresh skimmed milk category marks a significant stride.

GCMMF markets a wide range of fresh milk products like Amul Buffalo milk (6.5 per cent milk fat), Amul Gold (6 per cent fat), Amul Shakti (4.5 per cent fat), Amul Cow milk (4 pe rcent fat), Amul Taaza (3 per cent fat), and Amul Slim n Trim (1.5 per cent fat). Sagar Skimmed Milk, with its negligible fat content, complements this array of products to meet the diverse requirements of customers.
