Pune: Hero MotoCorp, India’s biggest motorcycle maker, has launched the Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 priced at Rs 82,911 at the Delhi showroom to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Hero’s evergreen commuter. The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 competes with the Bajaj Platina 100 and Honda Shine 100 in the commuter bike segment. The new bike comes in a dual-tone colour scheme, redesigned turn indicators, a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port.
The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 is powered by a 97.2cc,
single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated with a 4-speed gearbox. The bike is equipped with Hero’s i3s start/stop system and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 73 km/l. “Splendor is an iconic brand with an unmatched leadership spanning 30 years,” said Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Business Officer – India BU, Hero MotoCorp. He said Splendor is a blend of iconic design, latest technology, and practicality, with 40 million happy customers.
