Hyundai is busy and busy with launching new cars. This year will see its much awaited new small car debut which has been confirmed for the festive season however Hyundai would not be sitting still after that. The car maker has planned a slew of launches and the next one would be its much awaited compact SUV. This new compact SUV would sit below the Creta and would expand the SUV line-up for Hyundai. Now two years back the concept version was shown at the Auto Expo but the production version will not be so boxy but will retain a proper upright SUV stance
along with some traditional SUV lines.
It will be a radical design and will have a more aggressive stance over the Creta with the front borrowing lines from the Kona SUV with its sleek headlamps. The interiors too would be different and more squarish from the Creta. The engine line-up is expected to be the 1.4 diesel and petrol but a turbo petrol could also make it. We expect the same torque converter automatic gearboxes though Hyundai can also plonk their AMT for a more affordable volumes player like the Brezza AMT or the Nexon.
