India has emerged as a star performer and is projected to contribute more than 16 percent of the global growth. This was stated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) while saying that the nation has been growing at a robust rate due to economic reforms in key sectors like digitisation and infrastructure.
The IMF released its annual Article IV consultation with India, according to which India is on track to be one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world this year, underpinned by prudent macroeconomic policies. Nada Choueiri, the Mission of India at IMF in
an interview has said that the South Asian country is one of the fastest growing large emerging markets and it is contributing more than 16 percent of global growth this year in the current projections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India's rapid economic growth is not only helping its citizens but is also helping the global economy. He said this while sharing a media report on IMF terming India a star performer and saying that India is projected to contribute over 16 percent to global growth.
