New Delhi: India’s agricultural and processed food products export up by 13 per cent to 19.69 billion US dollar in nine months of current fiscal of 2022-23 as compared to the same period last year. Ministry of Commerce and Industry has said that the overall export of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) products increased to 19.7 billion US dollars in April to December 2022 from 17.5 billion dollars over the same period of the last
fiscal.
The Ministry said that the initiatives taken by APEDA have helped the country in achieving 84 percent of its total export target for the year 2022-23 in nine months of the current fiscal. It added that for the year 2022-23, an export target of 23.6 billion dollars has been fixed by APEDA for the agricultural and processed food products basket. Out of it, an export of over 19 billion has already been achieved in nine months of the current fiscal.
