India's domestic air travel has reached new heights and surpassed the pre-Covid average. On Sunday, a total of over 4,56,000 passengers travelled in 2,978 flights. In a tweet, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, the Indian civil aviation sector is setting new records everyday.
He said, skyrocketing domestic air passengers are a sign of the country's rising growth and prosperity.
The Ministry said the total flight movements on Sunday was 5,947 and total passengers were over 9,13,000.
