India's foreign
exchange reserves declined by 887.2 million dollars to 362.987 billion dollars
in the week ended 9th December. A RBI press release has informed that foreign
currency assets, a major part of the overall reserves fell by 873 million
dollars to 339.258 billion dollars. In the previous week too, the reserves had
declined by 1.431 billion dollars to 363.874 billion dollars.
class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">Gold reserves
remained steady at 19.982 billion dollars. India's special drawing rights with
the International Monetary Fund decreased by 5.4 million dollars to 1.438
billion dollars, while the country's reserve position also dipped by 8.8
million dollars to 2.307 billion dollars.
