New Delhi; India’s merchandise export has grown by over 15 per cent to 229 billion US dollar from April to September this year in comparison to the same period last year.
The Commerce and Industry Ministry said, the country has achieved merchandise export of over 32 billion dollars in September this year with a decrease of 3.52 per cent in comparison to the same month last
year.
The Ministry said, export in certain sectors has seen a decline on account of a slowdown in some developed economies and a consequential slowdown in demands. The export of non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery from April to September this year was over 158 billion dollars, an increase of 5.53 per cent over the same period last year.
