Industrial Output of India rise to 4.2% in April 2023

The Industrial output of the country rose to 4.2 percent in April this year. According to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation data released today, the index of industrial production (IIP) expanded as the manufacturing sector's output grew 4.9



percent in April while Mining output rose by 5.1 percent.

Power generation declined by 1.1 percent in April. Factory output measured in terms of the IIP grew 6.7 percent in April last year.
