Internet user in India to cross 450 mn by June: report

Internet users in the country are expected to be in the range of 450 to 465 million by June this year. This was stated in a report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India and Indian Market Research Bureau. 

The report said that there were 432 million users in December last year.



Of them, about 269 million were in urban areas of the country. It added that urban India has close to 60 per cent Internet penetration, reflecting a level of saturation. Rural India, with only 17 per cent penetration, still has a large scope of development.
