Japan Airlines flight operations were affected this morning after a cyberattack caused a system malfunction. The airline said it led to the cancellation of several domestic and international flights and more than 60 delays. Flight services have now resumed.
The airline stated that the malfunction was
linked to network equipment connecting the airline with its customers. However, it confirmed that flight safety remained unaffected. Investigative sources said this could be a “DDoS attack,” in which attackers send massive amounts of data to websites to make them crash.
