Kharif Crop Sowing Crosses 704 Lakh Hectare

Kharif crops have been sown in over 704 lakh hectare till date as against 680 lakh hectare last year. Crop sowing data released by the Agriculture Ministry reveals that rice has been sown in over 166 lakh hectare, which is around 11 lakh hectare more than



the last year. 

The Ministry said, over 85 lakh hectare area has been covered under the cultivation of pulses which is more than 15 lakh hectare as compared to last year.
