Major Asian stocks extended their downward trend today rattled by Trump’s tariffs announcement. Singapore’s Strait Times index dropped three percent, Japan’s Nikkei shed over 2.8 percent, and Korea’s Kospi slipped more than 0.8 percent. Meanwhile, markets in Hong Kong and China were closed for Qingming

Major European indices were trading sharply lower. Germany’s DAX plunged over 5.8 per cent, France’s CAC 40 was trading over 4.8 per cent down, and London’s FTSE 100 declined almost 4.3 per cent, when reports last came in.
