The Ministry of Coal yesterday opened bids for the 10th round and the second attempt of the 9th and 8th rounds of commercial coal mines’ auction. The Ministry said that out of 61 coal mines offered in the 10th round, a total of 43 bids were received against 16 coal mines. Only 1 bid has been received against 5 mines offered under the 2nd Attempt of the 9th round. The Ministry said that the online bids were
decrypted and opened electronically in the presence of the bidders.
It added that the bids will be evaluated by a multi-disciplinary Technical Evaluation Committee that will shortlist the Technically Qualified Bidders for participation in the electronic auction. The auction will be conducted on the Metal Scrap Trade Corporation – MSTC portal.
