Oil prices remain steadied yesterday as Israel-Hamas peace talks in Cairo tempered fears of a wider conflict in the West Asia, while US inflation data dimmed the prospects of interest rate cuts anytime soon.

Crude oil futures was lower by 0.45 percent at 89 dollar and 10 cents, whereas Western Texas Intermediate was down by 0.12 percent at 83 dollar and 75 cents when reports last came in.
