Airtel, which is currently locked in a battle with Reliance Jio for India's telecom market, is offering its users 30GB of free 4G data under its special 'Airtel Surprise' offer.
India's largest telecom operator rolled out this offer on Holi, giving its postpaid customers the option to activate 30GB of free 4G data, valid for 3 months through its MyAirtel app. However, only 10GB of the 30GB 4G data will be available per month, reports India Today .
Earlier in a mail to its postpaid customers, CEO of Bharti Airtel Gopal Vittal said:
We hope the years to come bring
with them more milestones that we cross together and many more moments that help strengthen our bond.
I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your family on the festive occasion of Holi. Go ahead, claim your 'Airtel Surprise' and share the celebrations with your loved ones.
The 30GB free data comes on the back of Airtel launching special plans for pre-paid and post-paid users to counter the growing threat of Reliance Jio, which brought to the market, plans for its Jio Prime consumers that promise 28GB data (limited to 1GB per day) at a price of Rs 303.
